The total file size limit for video attachments depends on the receiving carrier, in general the carriers recommend using attachments no larger than 600KB (0.6MB) when sending videos. Therefore when you upload a video larger than the limit (600KB) we will try to compress it to reduce the size under said limit, note that this can impact the overall quality of the video. If your video is too large we won't be able to compress it enough, if such case happens please follow the guidelines for video message requirements and try again:
-
Aim for 2-3 MBs.
-
Aim for a duration around 20 seconds, which will ensure HD delivery on most smartphones.
-
Recommended frame rate of 30 frames per second.
-
Can be horizontal or vertical (since most people are used to turning their phones for video, based on personal preference).
-
Recommended aspect ratio of 16:9.
-
Recommended dimensions are 640px X 1138px in vertical and 1280px X 720px in horizontal.
We will first attempt to send a converted video to the lead, but some carriers may reject the file anyway. If that's the case, the lead will see your typed message with a link to your video below it. Tapping the link will open your video in their browser.
What does the text look like for the lead?
The lead will see your typed message with a link to your video below it. If your lead has your CINC number in your contacts, the link may display a preview of the video or at least a tap to preview based on the lead's phone settings. Tapping the link will open your video in their browser. Tapping the preview will play the video right within the texting app.
What is the max amount of time for a video text?
20 seconds is the max time. This is to keep the text short & sweet with a small enough file size. You'll find that 20 seconds is actually a long time. Think posting an Instagram story.
